By registering, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the following policies. This virtual workshop requires your full presence, including active participation with both sound and camera capabilities turned on. All times for the training are listed in Eastern Time. It is imperative that you provide a correct shipping address at the time of registration; if an incorrect address is provided, you will be responsible for paying for a second set of materials. We cannot ship to PO Boxes. International participants will receive virtual materials by default but may opt to pay the shipping difference for physical materials (excluding APO/FPO addresses).

Your name and email will be shared with DONA International for training evaluation purposes. No video, audio, or screen recordings are allowed. Photos taken by the trainer during class may be used for online or print promotion.

Refunds are not available, but you may transfer to another Robin-sponsored course within one year of registration. A $200 transfer fee applies if the request is made within 30 days of the class start date or after the class has begun. If you miss a class, a $100 fee will apply to reschedule, and you must contact the instructor to arrange a new date. Transfer students must pay all outstanding fees from their original registration before being eligible to transfer to a new class. Tickets for this training are non-transferable to other individuals. Community Hardship & BIPOC or other Equity seats are not refundable, transferable, etc. They are good only for the class for which they are purchased.

The instructor reserves the right to cancel the class due to low enrollment. In such cases, participants will be offered the option to switch to another class without any additional fees. By registering, you agree to these terms and understand that failure to comply may result in removal from the course without a refund.

All sales of virtual products, including templates, trainings, pre-recorded webinars, trackers, and other digital materials, are final and non-refundable due to the digital nature.

What to expect

This is a live, online doula training that runs on the dates and times listed at the top of this page, in Eastern Time. I teach in real time, which means I need you present and engaged. Please plan to be on camera with your screen visible, ready to participate with me and your classmates. That is how you learn the material, and it is how I confirm you completed the training. If you cannot be present for the full class, you will need to reschedule, and reschedule fees apply.

You will also receive a printed workbook in the mail. I need your correct shipping address at checkout so it reaches you on time. If the address is wrong and the workbook has to be reshipped, you cover the cost of the replacement. I cannot ship to PO boxes.

Your registration

Your seat belongs to you. Tickets are not transferable to another person and cannot be resold.

Because this training includes digital materials and a shipped workbook, registration is final. I do not offer refunds. If your plans change, here is how reschedules work.

If you need to reschedule

You can move your seat to another training within one year of your original registration date one time.

More than 30 days before your class starts: no fee.
Within 30 days of your class, or after the class has begun: $200 transfer fee.
Missing a single class session and needing to reschedule just that session: $100 per class. Contact me directly to arrange.

If you are already attending births, arrange a backup doula for any client due during the training so you can be present for every session.

Scholarship, equity, and community rate seats are not transferable. If you booked at a discounted rate and move your seat to a different training, your discount does not move with you. You pay the difference up to the regular early-bird rate of the new class.

If a class cannot run because of low enrollment, I will offer you a free move to another class of your choice.

Equipment, privacy, materials, and media

A laptop or desktop is strongly recommended for best viewing and full participation in breakout rooms and activities.

Your name and email are shared with DONA International for training evaluation purposes, as required by my certification.

International students receive digital materials by default. If you would like the physical workbook shipped internationally, you can pay the shipping difference. I cannot ship to APO or FPO addresses.

No video, audio, or screen recordings of class sessions are permitted. Photos I take during class may appear in future promotional material.

Are there any prerequisites?
No. This is considered a basic birth doula training. I will provide you with all of the materials that you need for class and there is no knowledge assumed.
Are these courses online?
Yes, they are 100% virtual and held live on Zoom.
Where is this certification good?
This is an international certification.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. There are also other payment options potentially available to you at checkout.
Am I certified after I leave the class?
You are ready to work and start earning money as a doula immediately upon completion of the course, certification follows after at least three births and some paperwork. The alumni group and Robin are available to help you. walk through that process.
What if I have a nursing baby?
Attendees who are currently nursing are encouraged to do so during the training. However, I also recommend that childcare is arranged ahead of time. You will receive more out of the training sessions if you are able to devote your full attention to the material. Also, some portions of the training are hands-on and require your participation for completion. I am happy to provide you with the timing of these sections in advance as your training takes place.
